Scotch Review: The Isle of Arran Distillers Robert Burns Single Malt – $49.95 – a great choice this Robbie Burns Day

January 2017

Ottawa, ON

Celebrate the 258th anniversary of Scottish poet and lyricist, Robert Burns, on January 25, 2017, with a glass of Arran’s Robert Burns Single Malt Scotch.  At $49.95 this is one of the lower cost single malt Scotch options available making it a must try and ideal to enjoy in a creamy and refreshing Whisky Sour – one of my favourite Whisky cocktails.

Matt’s review:

The Isle of Arran Distillers single malt Scotch carries the name of the celebrated Scottish poet and lyricist, Robert Burns, on the label making this a great value-priced pick to enjoy this Robbie Burns Day! Slight straw golden colour with a good dose of peat, caramel, sweet spice and cereal notes on the nose and palate. This Scotch would be a great one to enjoy in a Whisky Sour or serve neat with a splash of water to soften and permit its rich flavours to shine bright. Tasted January 2017. 90 points.
