Wine review: Winemaker’s Cut Syrah 2018

August 2020

Matt’s review: Winemaker’s Cut Syrah is sourced from estate vineyards in the heart of the southern Okanagan Valley. Deeply coloured, the nose shows spicy dark fruits, black pepper, smoky bacon, and sweet clove. The palate offers fleshy black berries, spice, pepper, and flinty minerality. Medium-full bodied, it’s silky smooth with very fine-grained tannins and spicy black fruit on the refreshing finish. Enjoy 2020-2026. Tasted August 2020. 91 points.
