Valpolicella & Parmigiano Reggiano: A Natural Alliance

Winter 2026

Some partnerships feel inevitable, not because they were planned, but because they were meant to be. The recent collaboration between the Consorzio Tutela Vini Valpolicella and Parmigiano Reggiano is exactly that: a meeting of two cultural icons that have long defined the essence of Italian excellence.

Christian Marchesini (Valpolicella Consortium) and Carmine Forbuso (Parmigiano Reggiano)

When you think of Valpolicella wines, from the elegance of Amarone to the historic sweetness of Recioto, and Parmigiano Reggiano: the “King of Cheeses”, you think of terroir, craftsmanship, time, and unwavering commitment to authenticity. Each represents centuries of heritage, shaped by the land and perfected by human dedication. Together, they form one of the most compelling food and wine synergies imaginable.

This new joint initiative, Quality Heritage of Europe, recognizes that connection. It brings two globally respected PDOs together to promote quality, safeguard tradition, and share the story of their origins with consumers across Europe and beyond. In an era marked by rapid change and short-lived trends, this project reminds us that lasting value is built on patience, place, and purpose.

As someone who has spent years exploring and sharing the stories behind both Italian wine and gastronomy, I can’t think of a more perfect union. Amarone & Parmigiano: two masterpieces shaped by time, elevated by tradition, and destined to be experienced together.

More than a pairing. A shared legacy.

I invite you to savour these wonderful Italian products and see for yourself why they’re so admired around the world!
