Wine review: Rosehall Run Ceremony Blanc de Blancs 2019

Ceremony 2019 showcases the elegance and finesse that Prince Edward County wines are renowned for thanks to the region’s cool-climate and limestone-rich soils. It offers a harmonious blend of delicate flavors, vibrant acidity and texture. The nose reveals aromas of orchard and stone fruit, along with subtle floral and ginger notes. On the palate, the wine reveals a creamy mousse, crisp acidity, and a fine mineral backbone. With nearly four years of aging on the lees (45 months to be exact), Ceremony 2019 shows exceptional balance with great complexity making it a perfect wine to enjoy now and equally over the next 5-10 years.

wine review: M de Minuty Rosé 2023

May 2024 Matt's review: M de Minuty Rosé, from the picturesque Cotes de Provence in the south of France, beside the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, is a delightful ode to the region's sun-drenched terroir and centuries-old winemaking heritage. RTD cocktail review: Coco Rum now available at LCBO

Coco Rum combines the goodness of real coconut water, Caribbean white rum, and a hint of sparkling water, creating a hydrating and refreshing cocktail with the distinct texture of Coconut water and just the right amount of Pina Colada essence on the long refreshing finish. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, hosting a backyard BBQ, or simply enjoying the warm summer breeze, Coco Rum makes for a great ready-to-drink cocktail or cocktail base. I’ll be the first to say I’m not generally impressed by canned cocktails but this one I’m recommending you check out this year while supplies last. Tasted April 2024. 90+ points. Highly recommended. wine review: Ilatium Morini  Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG “Campo Leon” 2019 (pre-release review)

Ilatium Morini's 2019 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG "Campo Leon" pre-release sample tasted during Anteprima Amarone in Verona. The wine is anticipated to be released in January 2025 when the winemaker deems it ready for commercial release. Ruby red colour, the nose shows dried dark fruit, plum, fig, tobacco, and incense. Super refreshing, with cherry, tart dark fruits, black tea, salted dark chocolate, and youthful fine grained tannins persisting on the long textured finish. A complex and well structured Amarone which will pair beautifully with braised dishes, creamy risotto, and aged cheese. Enjoy 2026-2036+. Tasted February 2024. 94+ points.
