Altivo Dao Red

Matt’s review:  Gorgeous fragrant bouquet with dried fruit, clove, smoked bacon, sous bois, and graphite on the nose.  Beautifully balanced, it’s elegant with a remarkably supple texture.  The palate shows layers of dark fruit, figs, plum, and spice with a long and inviting finish.  An exceptional wine with terrific structure making it ideally suited for enjoyment now and will cellar beautifully over the next 5+ years. Enjoy with Leitao (suckling pig),  Espetada (grilled beef kebabs), or Chourico (smoked sausage), to name a few top picks. A buy by the case wine that offers exceptional value!  Look for it in the October 14 2017 Vintages release at LCBO. Tasted July 2017. 92+ points.  Matt Steeves – www.quercusvino.ca
