wine review: Burrowing Owl Cabernet Franc 2015 ~ $45

Ottawa, ON

September 29, 2018

Matt’s review: Burrowing Owl’s 2015 Cabernet Franc, from the southern part of British Columbia’s pocket desert, the Okanagan Valley, is a deep ruby colour showing rich and concentrated dark plum, black cherry, blueberry pie, grilled peppers, cedar, scorched earth and black sage. Full bodied with great structure, the rich dark fruits, pepper, and cedar persist on a very long and smooth finish. An outstanding Cab Franc that showcases the the depth and complexity of premium single varietal BC reds. Enjoy with beef tenderloin steaks with Port-Rosemary sauce. Drink 2018-2028. Tasted September 2018. 92+ points. Matt Steeves – http://www.quercusvino.ca

Available winery direct and at select wine boutiques across Canada
