Matt’s review: 13th Street Winery’s Grande Cuvée 2013 is their ultra premium limited release Blanc de Noir (100% Pinot Noir) which is only produced in the finest vintages. Produced in a zero dosage style, making it extra crisp and refreshing, and benefitting from 60+ months lees aging, with no oak influence, thereby preserving the natural fruit characteristics, with the added complexity those five years of aging on the lees adds in the bottle both in terms of flavours, aromas, and texture. Golden Russet apples, wildflower honey, biscuit, and a hint of ginger on the nose and palate. Beautifully crafted, the structure and balance in this wine are exceptional – its mouthwatering freshness makes it a fine candidate for any rich and creamy dish, and its got many years of aging potential if you can resist the urge to enjoy. Drink 2020-2035. Tasted November 2020. 94+ points. Matt Steeves – http://www.quercusvino.ca
