Matt’s review: Winemaker’s Cut Bohemian Rouge is their flagship red where only the finest wine from the best barrels make this Winemaker’s Cut! 2019 Bohemian Rouge is a blend of 40% Merlot, 30% Cab Sauv, 20% Cab Franc, and 10% Petit Verdot, all co-fermented and aged in neutral barrels to preserve the complex fruit characteristics, showcasing the delicious fruit sourced from Deadman Lake Vineyard & Chahal Vineyard. Black cherry, black currant, sweet spices, black sage, and graphite on the nose. Medium bodied with fine integrated tannins and a savoury peppery finish, the freshness in this wine highlights its great balance and food-friendly nature making it a wonderful wine to enjoy over the next couple years with a wide range of dishes from grilled salmon, gourmet burgers, Wagyu steak, and charcuterie.
