Winemaker’s Cut Syrah is sourced from Deadman Lake Vineyard in the heart of Canada’s wine capital, Oliver, BC. Savoury over sweet, stainless steel and neutral oak preserves the pure expression of the vineyard’s terroir. The nose shows spicy dark fruits, black pepper, hint of dried flowers, cacao, and subtle earthiness. The palate offers tart dark fruit, herbs, sweet spice, pepper, and flinty minerality. Medium-full bodied, it’s very fresh and nicely textured with fine-grained tannins and spicy black fruit persisting on the refreshing finish. Enjoy 2021-2023. Tasted July 2021. 90+ points.
