Matt’s review:
An impressive Cabernet Sauvignon from the Colchagua Valley in Chile, where quality Cabernet Sauvignon, such as Santa Carolina’s Reserva, can be found at bargain prices.
Santa Carolina was founded in 1875, and nearly a century and a half later, they’re producing incredible wines which the world has come to love.
Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon shows a complex and inviting aromatic profile with dark cherry, plum, chocolate, menthol, and herbs. Medium bodied with soft tannings, enjoy over the next couple years with slow roasted lamb with garlic and Dauphinoise potatoes. Tasted October 2021. 90 points.
