Matt’s review: A delicious value-priced full-bodied Niagara-on-the-Lake Chardonnay that shows just how rich and textured a ‘cool-climate’ Chardonnay can be. G. Marquis didn’t hold back when they produced this bold and flavourful barrel-aged Chardonnay that shows crisp yellow apple, baked pears & biscuits, with sweet toasty oak influence. Creamy and balanced, this single vineyard Niagara Chardonnay would complement rich mushroom risotto dishes, roasted poultry with butternut squash, and is absolute dynamite with double smoked Balderson cheddar, a personal favourite of mine.
