Matt’s review:
Cais da Ribeira Reserva 2014. Portuguese wines offer terrific value and this red blend is a great example of how food friendly Portuguese wines can be, without the steep price tag. Deep ruby red, the nose offers black fruit, dark plum, sous bois, and graphite. The palate is dry with dusty tannins and mouthwatering acidity making this ideally suited for rich dishes such as Portuguese braised steak & onions or one of my favourites, a traditional German Beef Stroganoff. Tasted October 2017. 87+ points. Matt Steeves – www.quercusvino.ca – Coming to LCBO November 2017 – $13.95
