Matt’s review: After the return of Le Grand Clos a few years back, it’s great to see Le Clos Jordanne introducing their value-priced Jordan Village Chardonnay starting with the outstanding 2019 vintage. A blend of select parcels from Le Clos Estate, Claystone Estate, and Talon Ridge Estate vineyards, the result is a premium wine at a great price that showcases the great terroir Le Clos Jordanne is renowned for highlighting in their premium wines. The nose shows yellow apple, lanolin, caramel, chalky minerality, and floral notes. Big and balanced, it combines great freshness and texture, with complex varietal character, subtle wood spice, and chalky minerality on the finish. Incredible value for under $25, this is a wine to buy by the case, and plan on starting your vertical in anticipation for many more great vintages to come! Decant and enjoy over the next 5+ years.
