wine review: Inniskillin Montague Vineyard Chardonnay 2020 – Four Mile Creek VQA

Ottawa, ON

July 2022

Matt’s review:

Inniskillin’s Montague Vineyard Chardonnay showcases the best from their finest single vineyard site in the Four Mile Creek sub-appellation of the Niagara Peninsula. Golden yellow, this expressive Chardonnay shows ripe orchard fruit, melon, toast and lanolin on the nose. Full bodied and very creamy, look for baked apple and wood spice on the long finish. Enjoy this premium low production (400 cases) Chardonnay with crab cakes, calamari, or your favourite grilled fish with freshly squeezed lemon. Tasted July 2022. 92 points. Available at LCBO or winery direct – $25.95

Fried calamari with freshly squeezed lemon – a great pairing for Inniskillin’s Montague Vineyard Chardonnay.
