Matt’s review:
Garnet Valley Ranch Vineyard include the highest elevation vineyards in the Okanagan Valley. When you pull up to their open concept tasting room in the valley, you could mistake it for Yellowstone National Park, and expect to see ranchers lassoing cattle off in the distance. You might still see that but you’ll also see some impressive high altitude vineyards (600-680 m, 1,968′-2,230′), where Okanagan Crush Pad/Haywire’s Christine Coletta and winemaker Matt Dumayne grow their cool climate grapes including their Haywire Garnet Valley Ranch Pinot.
The 2021 GVR Pinot Noir is an outstanding expression of premium Okanagan Pinot. Texture, elegance, expressive and very approachable, this is a pure expression of the Garnet Valley Ranch vineyard terroir. Certified organic, you taste what you see in those picturesque mountain vineyards and it’s pure and delicious. Enjoy now and over the next five years. Tasted September 2022. 93 points.
