Matt’s review: Konzelmann’s Unoaked Chardonnay is a great value-priced white wine to enjoy whether it’s with a fine Autumn meal or simply enjoying a glass of crisp white wine after a big day. The nose shows ripe orchard fruit (picture Golden Delicious apple, nectarine, and pear), with a hint of vanilla bean and lemon drops contributing to the attractive aromatic profile. The palate is refreshing with a creamy baked apple and spice finish. If you like Pinot Grigio then you’ll love this slightly richer wine, especially when enjoyed throughout the Autumn as we transition from lighter summer fare to fall harvest meals. Enjoy with Butternut Squash soup, Thanksgiving meals, or chicken noodle soup. Tasted September 2017. Great value for $12.95. 87+ points. Matt Steeves – http://www.quercusvino.ca
