Matt’s review:
Boom, this expressive red blend from Icellars Estate Winery in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, consists of 50% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, and a splash of Malbec to produce a beautiful balanced and well structured wine. Fragrant sweet spices, plum, black cherry, mocha, black tea, and pipe tobacco on the nose. Dry with zippy acidity and mouth coating dusty tannins, the finish is long with spicy plum, dark cherry, and a hint of sous bois. An ideal wine to enjoy with grilled prime steak. Enjoy 2018 – 2026, and decant 1-2 hours. 425 cases produced. Tasted April 2018. 92 points. Matt Steeves – http://www.quercusvino.ca

We just did a full tasting there yesterday with Adnan and were very impressed with him and his entire lineup. Wait until you try the just released 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon ($60). It’s even more stunning than the Arina. The 2016 Cabernet Franc is a tremendous value at $30 too. I think this is the best new Niagara winery to open in years!
