Matt’s review: A beautiful expression of premium Napa Chardonnay from Napa’s iconic Robert Mondavi Winery. Sourced primarily from Hyde Ranch in the heart of Napa’s Carneros AVA where many of Napa’s finest Chardonnay’s are born. 2017 Reserve Chardonnay is a very expressive, luxuriously layered, and beautifully balanced Chardonnay which is ideally suited to enjoy this Autumn and throughout the holiday season with seasonal dishes, and those looking to cellar will be rewarded with patience as this premium wine is structured to evolve gracefully over the next two decades. The nose shows ripe apple, tropical fruits, floral blossom, white pepper, with a hint of salted caramel. The palate showcases the depth and breadth of flavours expected in a premium Chardonnay, with expressive orchard and tropical fruits, lees, and a very refreshing and creamy texture leading to a long baked orchard fruit finish.
