Matt’s review:

Situated in breathtaking Okanagan Falls, Noble Ridge Vineyard and Winery offers unparalleled views of the iconic Mount McLellan and Peach Cliff, which define the southern edge of the Okanagan Valley Sub-GI. The terroir of this region is truly exceptional, shaped by the remnants of the glacial era and dotted with pristine vineyards where some of the finest wines are born in the Okanagan Valley. Distinctive geological formations, including kettles, dot the vineyards and serve as host to specific single vineyards that yield award-winning wines each year.

Their Stony Knoll Chardonnay was produced in a manner to highlight the terroir and delicious fruit characteristics from this single vineyard in Okanagan Falls. Whole cluster pressed, cool fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the beautiful aromatics, and no malolactic fermentation thus ensuring the refreshing tropical, stone fruit, and orchard fruit characteristics shine bright with a vibrant edge characteristic of cool climate Chardonnay. The nose shows crisp pear, apple, hint of banana chips, and brioche. Medium bodied with a refreshing yet creamy texture, the palate highlights the delicious sweet orchard and tropical fruit, with a subtle mineral finish framed by fine tannins. Enjoy this unoaked Chardonnay over the next few years with grilled fish and stone fruit compote or pork tenderloin and apple sauce. Tasted February 2024. 90 points.
