Matt’s review: Burgundy, take note…Ontario is quickly becoming known as the cool-kid on the block! With wines such as Icellars Chardonnay, Ontario is showing the world just how great its wines can be. Icellars 2014 Chardonnay is a remarkably delicious, complex, and beautifully balanced cool-climate Chard, in fact, this is one of the finest Canadian Chards I’ve tasted in recent memory. The nose shows delicious apple, with fresh pineapple, spicy orchard fruit, brioche and toast. The palate is creamy with refreshing weight and texture. Beautiful structure, the crisp orchard fruit and expressive tropical fruits articulate precisely how ripe, refreshing, and complex premium cool-climate Chardonnay can be. This is a buy by the case wine that offers incredible value at $35/bottle! Enjoy now through 2022. Tasted April 2017. 94-95 points. Matt Steeves – http://www.quercusvino.ca
