Matt’s review: This impressive Sauvignon is sourced from two storied California wine regions with 58% coming from Monterey County and 42% from Napa Valley (Oakville and Stags Leap District AVAs…two of my favourites!). The Sauvignon Blanc (89% of the final blend) is supported with 9% Malvasia Bianca, 1% Chardonnay, and 1% Semillon, resulting in a very enjoyable, complex, and balanced wine that displays great aromatic, flavour, and textural complexity. The nose shows crisp stone fruit, pineapple, lemongrass, guava, and minerality. The palate offers mouthwatering exotic and tropical fruits with a touch of creaminess on the mid palate. This is an outstanding value-priced wine to enjoy this spring and summer, served chilled with lighter fare, including summer salads, grilled fish and seafood, or spicy Asian cuisine. Tasted April 2019. 91 points. Matt Steeves – http://www.quercusvino.ca
